About the Role

We are looking for a capable and friendly full-time Appointment Scheduler for our Murray office. In this role, you’ll be answering calls and scheduling appointments for several locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule’s patients; registers demographic information and processes payment spans and copays
  • Fields calls appropriately for patient care
  • Completes confirmation calls and provides preparation instructions to patient
  • Faxes reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested
  • Assists with arranging interpreter services, transportation, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate
  • Maintains an up to date and accurate pending-scheduling list
  • Checks all exams for precertification with patient’s insurance company
  • Uses knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if need prior to appointment
  • Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following company guidelines
  • Adheres to all HIPPA compliance guidelines
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have good people and communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and efficiently operate a computer 1 year experience working in healthcare facility
  • Empathetic, active listener with strong follow-through skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and problem-solve
  • High school diploma required
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be flexible
  • Ability to work between 8 am to 6 pm (schedule set by supervisor, no exceptions)
