About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Director/Therapist to direct and oversee the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Draper. IOPs for mental health treatment serve patients with higher acuity disease through specialized programing. The treatments and education included in an IOP work to improve patient functioning through a more structured approach than typically available in outpatient care. The IOP allows patients the flexibility to maintain their home and work responsibilities while receiving regular therapy and support. Common treatment modalities include individual, family, and group psychotherapy and medication management.

Novamind’s IOP is a comprehensive treatment that combines multiple modalities in order to treat the whole individual. This will be the first “psychedelic IOP” that will utilize psychedelic medicines as a catalyst for healing. Psychedelic medicines will include ketamine and esketamine therapy. The program will also support psilocybin and MDMA once these medicines are available to patients.

The IOP curriculum will include the following:

  • Psychoeducation
  • Group/individual therapy
  • Psychiatric medication management
  • Mindfulness/mediation
  • Movement therapies (yoga)
  • Topic group
  • Process group
  • Experiential group
  • Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the successful coordination of treatment assessments, plans and reviews
  • Monitor staff productivity and efficient delivery of services
  • Develop a clinical team that implements the company’s core beliefs into all aspects of client care and program services
  • Work alongside other key members of the team, including psychiatrist, psychologist, therapists and IOP Manager and Coordinators
  • Other duties to be assigned as the IOP program develops
  • Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, or social work preferred
  • Licensed MFT, LCSW or higher preferred
  • Previous clinical experience working in intensive outpatient programs desired
  • Leadership/Management experience required
  • Highly compassionate with excellent listening/communication skills a must
  • This is not a remote position
