Novamind is a leading provider of psychedelic medicine. We practice holistic psychiatry, conducting state-of-the-art diagnostic investigations and offering clients personalized treatment plans that leverage a range of innovative treatment modalities.
In anticipation of the US FDA approval of MDMA & psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy, Novamind is developing a national clinic network specialized in psychedelic medicine.
At Novamind, we're developing psychedelic therapy protocols and specialized programs to target difficult-to-treat mental health conditions that are underserved by the current standard of care. Read our FAQs.
KAP
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
A protocol based on thousands of successful ketamine treatments, general KAP leverages the psychedelic effect of ketamine to expand, expedite, and enhance the treatment effects of traditional talk therapy. Ketamine has been safely used as an FDA-approved anaesthetic since 1970 and in lower doses it can be used as a powerful treatment for a variety of mental health conditions including:
G-KAP
Group-Based Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Demand for quality mental health care has increased significantly making access to that care difficult for many. The G-KAP protocol addresses this problem by combining the supportive community found in group therapy with the processing power of ketamine in a protocol that allows specially-trained providers to help many people at once.
EF-KAP
Emotion-Focused Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Informed by principles of emotion-focused theory, the EF-KAP protocol helps patients learn to process and gain mastery of their emotions. EF-KAP is unique in the way it leverages both the benefits of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and the healing power of a supporting partner. Doing so creates a recovery-friendly environment outside of the clinic setting, strengthening meaningful relationships, and extending healing beyond the client.

Learn moreSpravato™
Spravato is an FDA approved derivative of ketamine used for the treatment of adults with Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD) and depressive symptoms in adults with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) with suicidal thoughts or actions. Spravato is administered as a nasal spray and is used in conjunction with oral anti-depressants.
TMS
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is FDA approved for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). TMS is a non-invasive method of brain stimulation that relies on electromagnetic induction using an insulated coil placed over the scalp, focused on an area of the brain thought to play a role in mood regulation. The coil generates brief magnetic pulses, which pass easily and painlessly through the skull and into the brain.
Medication management
Our personalized mental health care includes providing the right medication based on the individual needs of each client—managing side effects, understanding how different medications interact and achieving the most efficient dose for healing.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a specialty therapy that addresses past trauma, strong negative beliefs about self-and/or the world around us and feeling stuck in “fight or flight” responses. EMDR uses eye movement and bilateral stimulation to activate parts of the brain that help to desensitize traumatic events and reprocess the events to be less negatively influential.
Couples and family therapy
Many mental health issues are created and reinforced within the larger family environment. Whether it be patterns between couples or amongst spouses or ex-spouses, children and/or extended family. By observing patterns, better understanding each persons’ role, and making small adjustments, longstanding problems can be worked through as a team.
