Mental healthcare for patients with chronic or serious illness

A new treatment program to relieve suffering and enhance quality of life

Depression is especially common for people with chronic and serious illness and affects between 24% to 70% of individuals receiving palliative care. Many healthcare practitioners struggle to offer relief with traditional medicine and psychotherapy.

Psychedelic Palliative Care by Novamind is a specialized program designed to provide access to psychedelic medicine and support for people with mental and emotional stress associated with chronic or serious illness.

Among the first-of-its-kind, this innovative program combines psychotherapy, psychedelic medicine, mindfulness and group support in a safe and nurturing environment for patients and their families. The program assembles a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and palliative care specialists led by Novamind’s Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Paul Thielking.
